Community Catalysts began over 25 years ago in Escondido, California.  Parents, teachers and school administrators wanted to keep Special Education graduates in the community and allow them to live a more independent life.  The City of Escondido granted $40,000 to the "North County Career Development Program" to help find employment and provide on-the-job training for these students.

We have since grown to sixteen offices throughout California that serve over 1,000 individuals each year.  We provide training and support for our consumers and teach them employment, housing and daily living skills.
