On September 28, 2006, Community Catalysts hosted a downtown mixer to announce the formation of the Community Catalyst Housing Alliance.

The Housing Alliance is working to create an affordable and accessible housing pilot project in the San Diego area.

Board member Kevin Casey helped coordinate the event which brought together over sixty of San Diego's business and community leaders to downtown hotspot Luna Lounge.

The main topic of conversation was: "How do we create new, affordable housing for individuals with disabilities?"

Community Catalysts' CEO, Jim Jenkins, commented: "San Diego has really shown its support for affordable housing. I'm impressed."
